Plans for the extension of the Midland Metro through Wolverhampton were the subject of a series of open events earlier
this month.
Work on the extension is due to begin in the autumn, with the relocation of underground utilities such as pipes and cables, and it is hoped that the extension will be operational in 2019.
The extension forms part of the £120 million Wolverhampton Interchange Project, which will involve building a new railway station.
Roger Horton, head of the local council’s transport committee, said: “The expansion of the Metro in Wolverhampton is going to be great news for the future prosperity of the city.”
