Portsmouth-based electrical-connector manufacturer Harwin plc (
www.harwin.com) has been awarded EN 9100/AS9100C accreditation, “recognising the company’s commitment to quality and supply-chain excellence”.
The internationally recognised 9100 Series Quality Management System standard (referred to as AS9100 in the USA and JISQ 9100 in Japan) is specific to the aerospace industry and is adhered to by all major aerospace manufacturers world-wide.
Aerospace is one of Harwin’s key market sectors, and the company’s high-reliability connector products are specified for many applications, including avionics, radar systems, aircraft interiors and communications, as well as UAVs (drones). They are also used by space agencies and satellite manufacturers.
