Moduleworks and Siemens in product partnership

ModuleWorks — a supplier of CAD/CAM components for machining and simulation — has announced a product partnership with Siemens AG that allows ModuleWorks real-time collision avoidance software to be used with the Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl CNC system (
www.moduleworks.com).
The ModuleWorks software takes the real axis positions, machine geometries and workpiece positions, then uses the same motion data as the machine servos to provide a fully integrated and visually realistic simulation of the machine, tools and fixtures — plus the material removal process.
