www.walter-tools.com) (Hall 3, Stand B34), which has a UK subsidiary in Bromsgrove, will be using a number of digital solutions to demonstrate an integrated and holistic approach to production.
With Industry 4.0 and smart factories at the core of the display, visitors to the Walter stand will be able to see and test a range of apps and digital tools via intuitive touch screens and tool displays (there will also be a large central display screen).
For example, with Walter’s Tool·ID, it is possible to identify and continuously monitor all the tools used in a production process. Tool life is also checked, and cutters are always replaced at the right time.
Furthermore, tool data can be transferred directly from the pre-setting device to the machine, and machine parameters can be evaluated.
Walter’s display will also highlight the company’s close collaboration with Comara, a company that specialises in data and networking and is now part of the Walter ‘family’.
