Unveiled at
EMO, the new sliding-head tooling catalogue from Sheffield-based WNT (UK) Ltd (
www.wnt.com) contains over 11,000 items — 5,000 of them brand-new to the WNT range.
Among the new products featured are solid-carbide slitting saws, new grades for Deco-style tools, and an extensive range of guide bushes and collets.
Also included is the new XHeadClamp system of interchangeable tools; this allows a modular head — or even the style of head — to be changed in less than 5sec, with guaranteed positioning of the cutting edge.
Meanwhile, WNT’s System SOGX series of turning inserts provides four cutting edges tangentially mounted in the holder to give an extremely stable process under harsh cutting conditions, along with the option of application-oriented coolant supply.
