Kingswinford-based RP Technologies (
www.rptechnologies.co.uk), a leading prototype tool-maker and plastic injection moulding company, has grown its injection moulding business over the last six years to offer functional prototype and low- to medium-volume components (and opened a sales office in Germany).
The company has now expanded its service range to offer series production moulding from existing tooling, giving new and existing customers the opportunity to re-shore tools from overseas or relocate tooling from under-achieving suppliers.
RP has a suite of modern injection moulding machines ranging from 60 to 600 tonnes at its disposal, with a shot weight capacity up to 2.3kg. Its moulding facility runs 24hr a day, five days a week.
The company has the added benefit of a large on-site tool-room, ensuring that tooling can be serviced and maintained during the production process to ensure high-quality repeatable components.
It has experience in the prototype business across a broad range of sectors, including automotive, medical, defence and consumer product, and it can process a wide range of materials.
The company’s quality engineers are involved in projects from day one, and each stage of production is closely monitored to ensure that specifications are met.
Using standard measuring equipment alongside a co-ordinate measuring machine, the company can produce accurate measurements of components.
