On 1 July, Christopher Hegarty will become group CEO at Anca; he will take over from Grant Anderson, who retires at the end of June after eight years in the role at Anca.
In July 2017, Dr Hegarty joined the Anca group from Switzerland as the engineering manager of CNC machines; more recently, he was appointed general manager of that division.
Pat Boland, joint Anca co-founder, said: “Over the next few months, the Anca leadership team will be working together to ensure a seamless handover.
“During Mr Anderson’s tenure at Anca, his leadership has seen the company flourish.
“I thank him for his significant contributions that have improved our culture, processes and products to place us at the forefront of our market segments.
“Having worked with Mr Hegerty over the last year, I am confident of his vision for Anca (

Dr Hegarty said: “Anca is an incredible Australian success story. Traditional tool- and cutter-grinding markets continue to be strong, and growth in new tooling applications offers significant potential.
“We will redouble our efforts to leverage our technology, R&D capability and deep industry knowledge to design new products and innovations.”
