Talisman Plastics unveiled at SubconMalvern-based LGG Charlesworth — a company synonymous with the plastics industry for nearly 100 years — was rebranded as Talisman Plastics at the beginning of June.

Attending Subcon 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham, managing director Shaun Champion said feedback about the rebranding had been extremely positive, and the company had generated a number of high-quality enquiries from new customers.

“Subcon is a significant event for UK engineering, sub-contracting and outsourcing professionals and companies.

“We wanted to use the exhibition to promote our new brand to existing customers and suppliers, as well as potential new ones. (www.talismanplastics.co.uk)

“It’s important for us to demonstrate our long pedigree in the plastics industry and the exciting future we have under this new brand.”

The company operates as three divisions: Talisman Security Seals, which serves the health-care and general security seals market; Talisman Caps & Closures, which focuses mainly on the packaging sector; and Talisman Plastics, which focuses on precision plastics injection moulding.

Significant investment has taken place in recent months, including the appointment of new technical and tooling managers, plus the acquisition of Hungerford-based Kennet Plastics, which was acquired in February to form Talisman Caps & Closures.

The company’s focused investment and development programme is having a positive impact, and turnover is on target to grow by over 10% in 2018, with profitability ratios maintained.
