Updates made to latest version of WorkXplore

Updates made to latest version of WorkXploreStitching and the Client Viewer are just two of the enhancements made to Vero Software’s high-speed CAD file viewer and analyser in Work-Xplore 2019 R1 (www.workxplore.com).

The company’s owner, Luca Clerici, says the values of parameters for both manual and automatic stitching can now be handled independently.

“In fact, new parameters have been added to the ‘Options’ available for the Interfaces.

“It is now possible to export all scenes created in WorkXplore to the Client Viewer, through an option that has been added to the Client Viewer Export window.

“When the option is ticked, all the user-selected entities and entities linked to the scenes — both wire entities and GDTs — will be exported to the Client Viewer.

“If the option is enabled for an export, it will also be automatically enabled for the next export; and whenever scenes have been exported, a new tab will appear in the Client Viewer showing all the scenes exported from WorkXplore.

A scene can be activated by double-clicking it, and the active scene will be displayed in ‘bold’ style.”

Mr Clerici says a major difference is that Client Viewer’s camera movements are not locked. “This is because we expect Client Viewer to be used by people who aren’t necessarily familiar with WorkXplore.

"The active scene can be de-activated by clicking on a button in the 3-D view; and if a scene has been exported with a section plane, that will also be available — independently from a potential dynamic section activated in the Client Viewer.”

In addition to a ‘gradient’, WorkXplore 2019 R1 gives the option of setting a uniform background colour as soon as the Client Viewer is generated.

“In the same way, it is now possible to save the current point of view, for exporting; and as it is possible to have an active dynamic section in Catia V5’s GD&T captures, a new enhancement in WorkXplore 2019 R1 gives users the opportunity to retrieve that information during import — and add it to the available scenes.

“Furthermore, generic information dialog that is used at several places — including object information and licence information — has been refurbished by adding it to the alternate line colours and the word wrap.

“It is also possible to select text directly — and copy it.”

Mr Clerici adds that the latest release continues WorkXplore’s tradition of updating support for translators, which will benefit a wide variety of readers and writers — including Catia, Inventor, Parasolid, Solid Edge, SolidWork, STEP, DXF and IGES.
