Coleshill-based Sertec Heavy Stamping (
www.sertec.co.uk), which is primarily focused on the automotive sector, has invested in an 800-tonne Zani transfer press to increase its capacity.
Sertec selected Wolverhampton-based Beck & Pollitzer (
www.beck-pollitzer.com) as its lifting and installation provider, following previous work at one of Sertec’s site in Eastern Europe.
The new press has a base weighing 54 tonnes and a crown weighing 80 tonnes. Beck & Pollitzer used a 500-tonne Power Tower and a 40/60 Versalift to lift these items into position.
Martin Hooper, Beck & Pollitzer general manager (business development), said: “We were delighted to provide our skilled services to support a fellow Made in the Midlands member for the installation of its new Zani press.
"Beck & Pollitzer has continued to invest in skilled labour and equipment to complete such projects on a global scale.”
One of the main reasons Beck & Pollitzer was chosen for the installation was its ability to offer a full turn-key solution.
The company is a global provider of machinery installation and equipment relocation services to all manufacturing and industrial sectors.
