Chester Machine Tools (www.chestermachinetools.com) recently supplied CNC and conventional machine tools to Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB) in Ireland (through its Irish partner Central Technology Supplies).

WWETB provides a comprehensive range of education and training services for young engineers and apprentices throughout Waterford and Wexford; it is one of the largest providers of education and training in Ireland.

The machines supplied were a Chester EDU360 CNC lathe and a Chester V6L Delta three-axis CNC machining centre; they have been installed in an education workshop that helps young engineers to complete their training, work on proto-
typing and design projects using the latest technology and prepare for their future careers.

Chester’s engineers completed the final commissioning and training on-site, as part of an on-going support package.

The installation of these machines at WWETB follows recent sales of a CNC Mini machining centre for the Institute of Technology in Dublin and 16 conventional lathes and turret milling machines for the Regional Skills and Training Centre in Dundalk, County Louth.
