Oxfordshire-based LTi Metaltech, a fast-growing precision fabrication and welding specialist, continues to strengthen its operations with the appointments of Joao Ferreira as continuous-improvement lead engineer and Nazir Ali as ‘technical administration’.
As the company expands (
www.lti-metaltech.com), these newly created roles will enable it to better meet the demands of increasing business activity in energy, science and nuclear markets, in addition to its on-going cryogenic work for long-time client Siemens.
Mr Ferreira will be tasked with identifying areas of the business that can be further improved, without compromising the quality standards that LTi is known for.
On a day-to-day basis, he will scrutinise manufacturing operations in detail to help generate further efficiencies.
From the processes and techniques employed to the materials, equipment and tools used, his role will be to continually explore ways of doing things better and reduce waste.
Mr Ferreira said: “Having witnessed the depth of expertise that exists within this company and the quality and innovation of the solutions I have seen, I’m really excited about the potential opportunities that are still yet to
be discovered with LTi.
"I love the challenging nature of this role too, which offers lots of scope for my own professional and personal development. It’s a great company to work for, and I’m looking forward to making my mark on the business.”
