After supporting users of Citizen sliding-head turning centres for almost 30 years, Floyd Automatic Tooling has established a permanent presence at the new Citizen Machinery UK facility in Brierley Hill, which recently welcomed more than 300 visitors over the three days of its first Open House.
This event was supported by 20 equipment suppliers, but Floyd Automatic Tooling (
www.floydautomatic.co.uk) is one of just four companies that now have a permanent display booth adjacent to the new showroom.
The company’s managing director, Richard Floyd, said: “We have a long-standing relationship, and down the years our tooling solutions have been supporting the Citizen customer base.
“Our ability to provide industry-leading tooling packages and ‘problem-solving’ solutions has been acknowledged by Citizen with this permanent booth.”
As well as having a ‘partnership booth’ provided by Citizen, Floyd Automatic was present in the main showroom during the recent Open House event, where there were four machine launches and a further 11 machines undertaking live machining demonstrations that allowed Floyd to show some of its tooling solutions.
These included the new Evocut range of parting-off tools from Applitec and the HEB Mini-Plug quick-change adapters for high-pressure coolant.
