Seven-figure facility to open early next year

West Yorkshire-based Thornton & Ross is set for expansion, with the opening of a seven-figure facility early next year.

The pharmaceutical company is set to construct a new 600m² bottling and filling line in an existing warehouse at its Huddersfield site, creating 40 new jobs.

Thornton & Ross develops, manufactures and supplies a range of branded over-the-counter medicines, dermatological solutions and other health-care and hygiene products.

Mark Kirkup, vice-president of UK operations (www.thorntonross.com), said: “This facility represents the largest single investment that our German parent company — the STADA Group — has made at our UK site and underlines the success of Thornton & Ross as a company.”
