UKSE-backed Industro Solution huge turnover Teesside-based Industro Solutions Ltd — a steel fabrication business that started small but has established an impressive reputation in the en-gineering sector — is on target for a £3 million turnover and expects to double its current 28-strong team by the end of 2020.

Set up by John Betts and Joanne Bell in 2016 (www.industro.co.uk) after the closure of an SSI supply chain engineering business where they both worked, Industro recently moved into larger premises in Middlesbrough, allowing it to increase its fabrication capacity and take on more large-scale projects for customers in many industry sectors, including mining, renewable energy, and oil and gas.

Mr Betts said: “We have doubled our turn-over each year and are expanding our services steadily, including our design engineering capability and asset inspection work.

"We have a dynamic and innovative approach to what is a traditional sector, and this has helped us to attract a healthy customer base. UKSE — the business-support subsidiary of Tata Steel — has been very supportive since the beginning, with investments, premises and advice.

"We are continuing to grow and expect to see a £3 million turnover next year, with around 50 staff by the end of 2020.”

Peter Taylor, UKSE business development manager (www.ukse.co.uk), said: “Industro Solutions made an impressive start and is continuing that success by expanding its services and growing its team and client list.

“It has been very rewarding for us to watch the company develop and to support it with the investments needed as it grows.”
