Rochdale-based KP Industries, a material-handling specialist, has moved into a new ‘state of the art’ facility in the town to support its rapid expansion; the company doubled its turnover during the last two years and has a full order book.
The new site, which was officially opened last month by the Mayor of Rochdale, consists of a large manufacturing and office complex plus a smaller unit for testing and R&D.
Established in 2003, KPI (
www.kp-i.co.uk) has become one of the country’s leading manufacturers of specialised material-handling equipment, and it counts JCB, Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley Cars, Bombardier and Leyland Trucks among its customers.
The company expects to increase its turnover in the next 12 months and to create new jobs.
