Manchester-based Bindatex, a composites and advanced-materials precision-slitting specialist, has doubled its capacity by investing in a new slitting line; this has increased its capacity to 30 tonnes per year and generated five new jobs.
The new line can cut UD (uni-directional) fabric, pre-preg and composite materials to widths of just 3.175mm.

www.bindatex.com) has been cutting composites for over 15 years; it claims to be the only company in the UK that can undertake precision slitting to widths as narrow as 1mm.
Its customers include leading material manufacturers and end users in many sectors, including composites, aerospace, automotive, marine, advanced manufacturing, health-care, energy and renewables.
The company is particularly proud of its flexibility with regard to order size.
