The EPMA (European Powder Metallurgy Association), via collaboration with the EuroAM Sectoral Group, has launched the third edition of its
Introduction to Additive Manufacturing Technology booklet.
Released at the recent
Euro PM2019 Congress and Exhibition in Maastricht (the Netherlands), this publication builds on the previous versions by expanding the depth and range of case studies from several industries, as well as providing an update of the AM technical processes and new aspects of ‘non-destructive testing’.
Since the booklet’s launch in 2013, all editions have been available to download from the Web site (
www.EPMA.com), as well as being distributed at many industry-related events throughout Europe.
The latest 68-page edition includes content from over 100 contributors and features over 60 case studies.
It also contains new and revised content relating to: standardisation activities in the field of additive manufacturing; metal binder jetting and sintering; and non-destructive testing for AM parts (ultrasonic testing).
Andrew Almond, the EPMA’s marketing manager (
www.epma.com), said: “This is still a great introductory booklet for potential users of additive manufacturing, as it provides a neutral view of the main AM processes and how to get the most out of them.”
