Rotherham-based AESseal (
www.aesseal.com) has officially re-opened its mechanical-seal test house after an upgrade costing more than £1.4 million.
The building, in which the company’s mechanical seals and compressor dry gas seals are put through rigorous trials to ensure that they meet the highest quality and performance standards, has undergone a major refurbishment over the past two years.
The final phase saw the installation of five ‘state of the art’ test rigs (with a sixth due to arrive in 2020) to make the testing process even more efficient and accurate.
Test house manager Michael Rich said: “The investment in the test house over the past two years ensures that we can maintain our award-winning customer service well into the future.
"All our test rigs can be run on an automated basis, leaving operators more time to focus on preparation and post-test analysis.
"The rigs are also user-friendly, which means that new test technicians can be trained quickly.”
