Hot on the heals of its 30th-anniversary celebrations last year, Hampshire-based Perfect Bore Manufacturing is spending £1 million to expand its deep-hole boring services.
A new Tibo machine at its Andover facility will allow the company to offer shorter lead times in its increasingly busy large deep-hole boring division, which specialises in producing bores from 25mm to 165mm in diameter and up
to 2,500mm long.
To support Perfect Bore’s ‘one-stop solution’, this investment also includes a dedicated honing machine, which will enable capacity to be freed up on its existing honing machines.
In addition, the company has extended its premises to enable it to securely store additional material on-site.
With Perfect Bore (

It has doubled its capacity and has been attracting a lot of interest, especially since the company’s involvement in a NATEP (National Aerospace Technology Programme) project to grind a hard chrome replacement coating.
