Londonderry-based Armstrong Medical is investing £8 million in new machinery plus a new 26,000ft
2 warehouse and is creating 24 new jobs at its facility in Coleraine.
The family-owned company (
www.armstrongmedical.net), which currently employs 154 people, was established in 1984 and exports to more than 60 countries. It specialises in the manufacture of respiratory products for use by health-care providers and hospitals.
John Armstrong, executive chairman, said: “This investment will enable us to double our output to meet customer demand. With an increased production area, an enlarged warehouse and more office space, we will be able to introduce new products, and to scale up operations on existing products.”
Invest Northern Ireland CEO Kevin Holland said: “This investment is a significant commitment by Armstrong Medical and gives it the operational capacity to meet growing demand.
"The company already has a strong export business and is committed to growing it further.
"This increase in the company’s production levels will significantly enhance its competitiveness and ability to innovate.”
