Cheshire-based Rhino Products has opened a new 87,250ft
2 ‘state of the art’ production facility and office in Ellesmere Port.
Named Rhino House, it will support continued growth, with the group’s floor space now totalling over 175,000ft
2 across five sites.
The former head office and factory in Deeside now houses AVS Steps, (Rhino’s passenger-vehicle side-step business), which was acquired in 2017.
The group (
www.rhinoproducts.co.uk) was established 17 years ago and has grown significantly in recent years, opening distribution centres in the Netherlands and Sweden, plus an additional sales office in Poland.
Through these multiple sites, Rhino can supply its roof racks, bars, ladder-handling systems, steps, pipe carriers and rear-door ladders to customers in the UK, Europe and further afield.
The new building features custom-designed production areas, two mezzanine floors, modern offices and excellent staff
facilities.
The factory opening marks the start of what promises to be another positive year for Rhino, as it prepares to launch two new products — the Aluminium Ladder and the PipeTube Pro.
Alongside this, there will be additions to the AVS Steps range, with a new electric side step and manual step due to be released.
Steve Egerton, the group’s managing director, said: “The move of Rhino to Ellesmere Port marks a significant period of growth and expansion for the company.
"Our customers recognise us as industry leaders, due to the passion of our people and the quality and innovation of the products that we release to market.
"The new space will allow us to continue to provide outstanding service and industry-leading products to our customer base around the world.”
