Thurso-based Denchi Group Ltd, which specialises in high-reliability battery systems, continues to expand its portfolio of advanced energy storage solutions for the most challenging environments with the introduction of new rechargeable Li-ion batteries that have built-in charging electronics (

After extensive field trials over the past 12 months, the company has rolled out the 430935 6T series, supplied in a NATO 6T format (269 x 256 x 230mm).
The high power density levels achieved make these units suitable for situations where there are size, weight and power constraints to take into consideration.
For use mainly in lighting and ignition applications, Denchi’s 6T Li-ion batteries can be incorporated in a wide variety of military ground vehicles — from main battle tanks to armoured personnel carriers and light armoured vehicles.
They can also be used in ‘silent watch’ mode to power electronic sights and communications equipment when the vehicle engine is switched off.
They can deliver a continuous current of 350A, plus intense power bursts when required (such as a 30sec pulse of 1,100A).
