Ducati ends 2019 on a positive noteBorgo Panigale-based Ducati (www.ducati.com) ended 2019 on a positive note, consolidating the growth that has characterised recent years for the Italian motorcycle manufacturer; 53,183 bikes were delivered to customers all over the world (compared to 53,004 in 2018) — a result that saw sales remain above the 50,000 mark for the fifth consecutive year.

Turnover at the end of 2019 reached 716 million euros (2018: 699 million euros), with a growth of 2.4%, an operating profit of 52 million euros (2018: 49 million euros) and an operating margin of 7.2% (2018: 7%).

Particularly significant is the turnover-per-bike figure; at about 13,500 euros per motorcycle, this represents the highest value in the history of the company.

The Panigale and Multistrada models have been instrumental in achieving this result.

Ducati says that the Panigale was the best-selling super-sports-bike in the world for the second consecutive year, with a market share of 25%.

Meanwhile, with the addition of the 950 S and the renewed 1260 Enduro to the range, the Multistrada family recorded the highest value of motorcycles sold since entering the market in 2003.
