Immensa Additive Manufacturing Group partners with SandvikSandvik Additive Manufacturing and ‘part subsidiary’ Beamit Group have established a ‘strategic partnership’ with Immensa Additive Manufacturing Group — a leading additive manufacturing (AM) solution provider in the MENA region. Immensa Technology Labs, which is part of the Immensa Additive Manufacturing Group, has played a key role in several major additive projects throughout the region, since being founded in 2016.

The company develops industrial and mechanical applications in a variety of sectors, including defence, oil and gas, industrial and transportation; it is now further strengthening its AM offering by partnering with Sandvik and Beamit. Immensa has more than 30 AM engineers in-house and currently operates in Dubai and Sharjah, Kuwait, Riyadh, and Dammam.

Immensa CEO Fahmi AlShawwa, said: “We are excited by the relationship with Sandvik Additive Manufacturing, which is known for its industrial innovation, materials expertise and extensive knowledge in a wide range of additive processes. We see this as a huge opportunity for regional companies, where we can provide them access to high-end 3-D printed components. This partnership will create some ground-breaking new solutions that enable broader customer adoption of AM.”

Kristian Egeberg, president of Sandvik Additive Manufacturing, said: “We recognise the big potential for AM technology in the MENA region. Through Sandvik’s 158 years of materials knowledge, and our strong expertise across the additive value chain — from metal powder to finished components — we look forward to help drive the implementation of AM across a number of industries in the area.”

Mauro Antolotti, Beamit Group’s president, said: “With the AM sector continuing to develop very fast, the need for specialist partnerships is crucial to help customers develop and industrialise AM. Combining Immensa’s strengths in digitalisation with the advanced AM skills found within Sandvik and the Beamit Group, we can provide joint and tremendous opportunities when it comes to advancing AM adoption across the MENA region.”
