Dinolift invests in PEMA production automationPemamek Ltd, a Finnish welding and production automation solutions company, has received an order from Dinolift Oy — a manufacturer of DINO-aerial platforms. The order includes an automated PEMA laser cutting and welding station (PEMA LC-LWBM 6000).

Karin Nars, Dinolift’s CEO, said: “We have been manufacturing DINO mobile elevating work platforms in Loimaa for almost 50 years. We continuously develop our production processes and operations to provide safe and reliable lifts to our customers all over the world.

“Our current growth strategy includes major investments in R&D, digitalisation and factory automation. Pemamek is known for its high level of skill and competence and we are very happy to develop our welding automation in conjunction with it.”

This latest PEMA solution, scheduled to be delivered and ready for production during spring 2022, will bring significant improvements to Dinolift’s boom-manufacturing processes. It will use laser technology for cutting and welding, thereby ensuring a high-quality and dimensionally accurate final product. The equipment will be managed with PEMA WeldControl 100 and PEMA CutControl 150 systems, which are designed to increase a system’s ease of use and production control capabilities.

Timo Knuutila, Dinolift’s COO, said: “Boom manufacturing is one of the critical phases in the production of elevating work platforms. By investing in modern manufacturing technology developed by Pemamek, we ensure the reliability of this strategic manufacturing phase and significantly improve our productivity.”

Samuel Karjalainen, Pemamek’s area sales manager (Finland), added: “It is noteworthy that Dinolift has many years’ experience in laser cutting and welding as a boom manufacturer. This investment in new and modern laser welding technology is a significant indication of the company’s desire to invest in the high-quality work platform manufacturing.”

Pemamek, which was founded in 1970 and remains a family-owned limited company, employs 250 staff at its headquarters and factory in Finland. The company also has local sales offices in the USA, Brazil, Russia, Germany, Denmark and Poland.
