For the first time ever, the two key machine tool exhibitions in Taiwan, the
Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) and
Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS) will be held at the same time, and in the same venue, as
TIMTOS x TMTS 2022. The show will be held from 21-26 February 2022 in Taipei, creating a ‘1+1 is greater than 2’ synergy for the industry, with the aim of boosting the international status of Taiwan’s machine tool industry.
Total exports of Taiwan machine tools from January to August this year reached $1.755 billion, a significant increase of 22.2% over the same period last year.
Over the years, the two trade shows have been held separately in Taipei and Taichung and both shows have continued to grow in scale. However, due to the pandemic and venue issues in Taichung, both
TIMTOS 2021 and
TMTS 2020 moved were held online only.
Mr Jong-chin Shen, vice-premier of Executive Yuan has coordinated the organisers of
TIMTOS and
TMTS to work together and maximise the trade opportunities for all the exhibitors and visitors. As the global machine tool industry is recovering from the pandemic and demand is increasing, industry players are now eager to return to face-to-face events.
Aside from metal cutting machine tools, machining centres and metal-forming machine tools, the joint show
TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 will also showcase a line-up of Taiwanese-built ‘smart’ machines which will showcase the innovation and high level of R&D taking place.
It is expected that
TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 will consolidate resources to better serve all visitors. Keep up-to-date wth developments via the website
