As part of a major recruitment push at
Hurco Europe Ltd and to support its continued growth, Jack Brown has been appointed as a new sales engineer covering the North East of England — an area from Newcastle down to Nottingham.
With headquarters in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, the company is responsible for Hurco operations in Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia, Africa and the Middle East. It is also sole sales and service agent in the UK and Ireland for the high-precision machining centres built by Roeders in Germany.
New to sales, Mr Brown was formerly an experienced, apprentice-trained CNC machine setter and operator at a well-known manufacturing business in Newcastle. He reports to Cliff Hodgkinson, Hurco sales manager for Northern England and Scotland and following comprehensive sales and applications training at Hurco and a stint on the road with Mr Hodgkinson, he is now visiting new and existing customers in his area.
He said: “Now is a great time to be joining Hurco. In addition to the huge range of three- and five-axis machining centres that the company offers, I have the opportunity to sell the new driven-tool lathes and automation solutions.”
Hurco is currently looking to recruit an extra applications engineer and another service engineer local to High Wycombe, plus additional staff for customer service, accounts and stores.
