Spain-based
CMZ, a manufacturer of robust high-quality
CNC lathes for a wide range of industry applications, which is represented in the UK by Rugby-based CMZ UK Ltd, has established a new Danish subsidiary as part of a strategic expansion plan to boost annual turnover above 100 million euros. CMZ Denmark is already up and running and is recognised by CMZ as a market with significant growth potential.
The closure of Maskingruppen AS, which had been CMZ’s official distributor in Denmark, accelerated CMZ’s plans, making it a key business opportunity for the group. Nicolaj Søndergaard, formerly an employee at Maskingruppen AS, will lead the new sales team. He has extensive experience in the sector and a deep understanding of the local market.
With this strategic move, CMZ aims to expand its market share in Denmark, by offering a more direct and personalised service. Customers will now be able to rely on a close, professional and direct aftersales service, delivered from the company’s own local after-sales department, which will be focused on responding directly to all customers’ needs.
Neoprec, CMZ’s ‘state of the art’ machining plant in Mallabia, Northern Spain, which opened last year, has allowed the company to significantly expand its production capacity. The end of 2022 was marked by figures approaching 100 million euros in turnover. The product range is increasingly orientated towards covering the needs of any category of customer — machining large parts, complex parts from bar, high production, automation, and more.
CMZ is also busy consolidating its presence in countries such as the USA and Turkey.
