The expansion has enabled the company to increase the size of its clean assembly facility, chemical cleaning, and welding processes. It has also enabled the company to invest around £400,000 in automated thermal spraying equipment and expand its UHV cleaning operation.

A £500,000 investment in an additional five-axis machining centre with pallet loader will enable the company to offer fully automated lights-out machining, significantly enhancing the company’s capabilities and production capacity. By automating some of its processes, SG AMF Engineering has freed up skilled labour, ensuring a smoother workflow and that it can maintaining the highest quality standards the industry expects. The new factory unit will also lead to the creation of new jobs, contributing to the local Wirral economy. ASG AMF Engineering’s primary customer base includes leading names in the semi-conductor industry and analytical science, such as ESRF, ILL and CERN. With this expansion, ASG AMF Engineering is poised to better serve its existing clients and attract new ones.
