Martin Nairn, Group Rhodes’ new business development managerWakefield-based
Group Rhodes, one of the UK’s largest OEMs in its field, has appointed Martin Nairn as business development manager for its
BJD Crushers and
Hallamshire Engineering Services divisions. Mr Nairn, who lives in Leeds, has 17 years’ sales experience in the crushing, recycling and earthmoving sectors, including most recently as sales manager for Global Machinery, and previously national sales manager for Warwick Ward Machinery and area sales manager at Molson Finlay.
His focus will be on developing new business opportunities for BJD Crushers, a specialist in the design and manufacture of crushing and size reduction equipment and for Hallamshire Engineering Services, which provides design and manufacturing services for conveying systems, hard-facing and wear control.
Group Rhodes CEO Mark Ridgway said: “Martin has a wealth of experience in the quarrying, recycling, mining, and materials-handling industries, which will be invaluable in developing new business opportunities for BJD Crushers and Hallamshire Engineering Services. Both divisions are well known internationally, and Martin will be looking to drive growth in both divisions and use his extensive contacts to make new connections.”

BJD Crushers, which markets itself as ‘The Original Crusher People’ can trace its heritage back to 1897 and was acquired by Group Rhodes in 2023. Hallamshire Engineering Services provides a range of services for the design and manufacturing of rollers and pulleys, hard-facing and wear control for the materials handling and brick and clay preparation industry.
Parent company Group Rhodes, which celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2024, manufactures and markets its ‘state of the art’ machinery across a range of industrial sectors in both domestic and overseas markets.
