A global company based in the Netherlands, the deburring and sheet finishing company
Timesavers International bv has been nominated for a
EuroBLECH Award (Hall 14, Stand L41). At the show, the company will be showcasing a fully automated deburring process that includes input and output robotic cells using ‘universal technology and smart features’.
The robot, guided by vision technology, picks the correct gripper to place sheet metal products on the conveyor belt. These products then enter the upgraded Timesavers 42 RB-series machine, now with a working width of 1,525mm, a new ‘top brush head’ alongside the rotary brushes, and automatic adjustment of the abrasive belt and brushes to the correct settings without manual intervention — thereby creating an automated line that does not require a machine operator.
Moreover, these features allow integration with level 2 systems and ERP systems. After processing, the products are stacked neatly on a pallet by a second robot, in a manner identical to how the pallet entered the input cell. Also on show will be an 32 RB-series machine, which has four rotary brushes and is ideal for edge rounding up to a radius of 2mm. It accommodates parts with up to 1,100mm wide.
Meanwhile, the 10 series machine is a small but powerful manual grinder that Timesavers says works three- to four-times faster than an angle grinder and can undertake applications ranging from deburring, edge rounding and finishing to laser oxide and metal slag removal using a variety of brushes and grinding discs. Moreover, with its four wheels, the 10 series can easily be moved to different locations in a factory.
In the UK, Timesavers machines are available from Ringwood-based
GE Machinery Ltd.
