Germany-based
MicroStep Europa GmbH will be offering cutting, bending, automation, and digitalisation (Hall 13, Stands E137 and E138). Included will be the latest generation of the MSE Smart fibre laser cutting system, which is being presented for the first time in a high-power version with a laser output of 60kW. This laser system, which was ‘developed with technology partner’
ACCURL (a Chinese company that is one of the world’s top-10 manufacturers in the field of steel metal working machinery), offers a combination of ‘very high precision, extremely high productivity and low operating costs’.
Marco Grosse-Schütte, MicroStep Europa’s head of sales, said: “In terms of laser power, we are now advancing into areas that allow even thicker materials to be cut economically, and with high levels of quality. We are very much looking forward to demonstrating this machine live at the exhibition.
“Once the sheets have been cut to size, they often need to be bent into shape, which is where innovative bending solutions come into play. Together with our technology partner Accurl, we will be presenting the EuroMaster series under the MicroStep Industry powered by Accurl label.
“Features of the machine being demonstrated will include a 4m bending length, 3,200kN press force, electro-hydraulic press drive from HAWE Hydraulik, a 69S control from Delem, six-axis backgauge with pneumatically movable supports, hydraulic tool clamps, CNC crowning from Wila, and iMeasure angle-measuring system from Accurl.
“We will also be presenting a fully automated bending cell in which the sheets are manipulated by a robot and precisely shaped using our all-electric press brake from the eB ULTRA series. The bent parts are then picked by the robot and placed on the designated storage areas. Moreover, the technologies presented at the exhibition are ‘ready for Industry 4.0’, being prepared for IndustryFusion — an interoperable open-source networking solution for smart factories and smart products.”
Accurl, which has been operating for some 33 years and has more than 12,000 installed machines, is represented in the UK by Milton Keynes-based
Axe & Status. The main technologies offered by Accurl are CNC press brakes, fibre laser cutting machines, turret punching and forming technology, automation technology, and programming systems.
