New range of portable Moore & Wright instrumentsCamberley-based Bowers Group has announced an important step for its Moore & Wright global brand, with the launch of a new range of hand-held testing instruments which will enhance the company’s precision and workshop tools offering, and meet the evolving needs of industrial sectors where accurate measurement and inspection are critical.

This latest collection, which includes a force gauge, surface roughness tester, leeb hardness tester, ultrasonic thickness gauge, as well as coating thickness gauges for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, addresses the need for enhanced accuracy, efficiency, and durability in an extended range of modern manufacturing processes.

Martin Hawkins, managing director at Bowers Group, said: “We are thrilled to unveil this new range of portable testing instruments. Our customers depend on us for precision and reliability, and this exciting new collection strengthens our offering by extending those core values into more areas of quality inspection. These testing gauges not only enhance measurement accuracy but also make processes more efficient, allowing users to achieve optimal results with ease. I am confident these products will be a great success, benefitting businesses and continuing the proud legacy of the Moore & Wright brand."

The new range features a handheld digital force gauge designed for precise measurement of tensile and compressive forces, complete with a high-resolution display and fast sampling speed. The Leeb hardness tester offers quick, non-destructive testing of metal materials, making it ideal for both laboratory and shopfloor environments.

The ultrasonic thickness gauge ensures accurate measurements through coatings on various materials and includes a purity test for processed parts. Two new coating thickness gauges offering easy-to-use electronic gauging for taking accurate measurements of coatings on non-ferrous and ferrous materials and a new portable roughness tester allows for a highly accurate, compact solution for surface roughness analysis, with simple, user-friendly operation.

The expansion of the Moore & Wright range builds on the brands rich heritage, with a 100-year long legacy of delivering dependable, high-quality instruments. This new product range enables Bowers Group to provide a more complete selection of tools, addressing the increasing needs of industrial sectors that require precise, versatile solutions across a broader spectrum of inspection processes.

With a focus on ease-of-use and portability, users can tackle a wide range of measurement and inspection tasks with confidence, from quality control to in-process checks. This launch paves the way for multiple new additions to the ever-expanding Moore & Wright range, with many more new products coming on-stream in the next year.
