The countdown to MACH 2026 got underway yesterday with a press event at the IET, London, attended by Machinery Market. James Fudge, the Manufacturing Technologies Association’s head of operations, opened preceedings and said that the UK’s premier manufacturing and engineering exhibition has already received strong support from members with 65% of available exhibition space already sold out 16 months ahead of the event. In fact a record third of exhibitors re-booked their stands before MACH 2024 ended. Organised by the MTA and owned by the industry it serves, MACH brings together the entire UK manufacturing supply chain to celebrate innovation, showcase capabilities, and address the latest market trends.

Mr Fudge continued: “Having the exhibition run by the industry means we are across the key issues allowing us to deliver up-to-date content and the latest technology themes. It showcases the entire manufacturing supply chain, celebrating innovation and addressing the latest industry trends. As an industry-led event, the show benefits from the unique insights of the MTA’s Exhibition Committee and Board, ensuring the show and topics remain relevant to the challenges and opportunities of the sector. People not only come to look at new equipment and technologies but also to see the capability and capacity the UK has to offer. Hence the expanded UK Supply Chain Zone at this year’s MACH 2024 will continue in 2026.”

MACH 2026The event is also supported by an unparalleled network of key industry associations, including Make UK, the MMMA, GTMA, BTMA, PTMA, Automate UK, Composites UK, BPF, BFPA, HVMC, and the Catapult Centres, demonstrating the collective strength and collaboration of the UK’s manufacturing community.

Stephen Phipson, chief executive of Make UK, said: “MACH is one of the pre-eminent manufacturing exhibitions and is the go-to event for companies looking at investing in automation and capital equipment. The quality of visitors and exhibitors is ‘A list’ and the range of technologies on display is as good as to be found at any exhibition. Given the importance of improving the UK’s productivity performance Make UK is very happy to support such a prestigious event.”

MACH represents much more than an opportunity to invest in new technologies; it provides a comprehensive platform to explore the depth and breadth of the UK’s manufacturing sector. From groundbreaking advancements in machinery to showcasing capacity and capability across the supply chain, MACH 2026 is a reflection of the sector’s resilience, ingenuity, and innovation.

James Selka, the MTA’s CEO, said: “MACH is a true testament to the collaborative spirit of the UK manufacturing community. By working with our partners across the sector, we are able to provide a unique environment where ideas flourish, partnerships are formed, and businesses thrive.”

With the exhibition shaping up to be the most dynamic yet, MACH 2026 will offer the 30,000-plus expected visitors the opportunity to connect with key players, gain insight into the latest trends, and witness live demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies.

Mr Fudge concluded: “It is not just a showcase, it is a celebration of what the UK manufacturing sector can achieve when the entire community comes together over five days.”
