A distributor of equipment for electronics assembly in the UK and Ireland, Redditch-based
Altus Group Ltd will be presenting a range of technologies designed to meet the increasing demands of electronics manufacturing at
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2025 (Stand J80), taking place 4-6 February in Farnborough. Included will be a Koh Young Alpha HS+ 3-D automated optical inspection system that offers ‘whole-board foreign material inspection’, high precision, and ‘AI-powered’ functions.
Joe Booth, Altus Group’s CEO, said: “We are pleased to once again exhibit at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics show, as we are a ‘one stop shop’ provider for almost every process in PCBA manufacturing, and the exhibition gives us a great opportunity to speak with prospective customers. For me, the show offers a brilliant opportunity for the market to come together, for us to understand the needs of our customers and prospects, and to demonstrate what are the most popular process upgrade opportunities and why.”
Altus will also be showcasing a Promation 9544CJ Pro robotic soldering unit, following what was a record year of sales in 2024. Built for precision, this system features a high-stability hot iron soldering capability and a design that ‘improves flux core outgassing and minimises solder defects’.
A PVA Delta 8 conformal coating/dispensing system will also be demonstrated. Engineered for selective coating, potting, and dispensing, this equipment can be used for various complex assembly processes and features an overhead three-axis motion platform and closed-loop process control to ensure a high level of precision.
