NCMT, a leading CNC machine tool supplier, has appointed Maja Foster as its new head of marketing. She brings to her new role directly relevant experience, as she formerly headed the marketing function in the UK subsidiary of a global machine tool manufacturer, where she was responsible for publicising the brand across Europe. Multi-lingual and holding an MEng degree in structural engineering, Maja has more than 18 years of international business-to-business experience at Board level in strategic planning, change management and marketing, with a focus on manufacturing and engineering including CAD/CAM.
Machine tool sales and service agent NCMT, which has centres in Coventry and Leatherhead, is noted for its exclusive supply into the British and Irish markets of fully engineered, turnkey production solutions, frequently automated, based on numerous production platforms.
The company offers machining centres and spark eroders manufactured by Makino; machining centres, lathes and grinders from Okuma; additive manufacturing (AM) systems sourced from Tritone Technologies; as well as Blue Photon adhesive workholding products. Additionally, joint venture operation Makino-NCMT Grinding Division is responsible for VIPER grinding installations across Europe and as far afield as Thailand and Mexico.
Maja said: “I am looking forward to strengthening NCMT’s position in the marketplace and championing its capabilities across all relevant industries. The company is recognised as one of the top privately-owned businesses in the UK, with strong sales and an excellent reputation for delivering world-class technology solutions, backed by outstanding customer service and engineering support.
“NCMT is a trusted partner to customers in aerospace, power generation, automotive, motorsport, medical, oil and gas, die and mould, sub-contracting, and gear manufacturing. In my role, I aim to further elevate the company’s presence and bring it to the forefront of recognition across these sectors, reflecting the pedigree and expertise the business represents.”
She concluded: “The company is built around satisfying customer demand, which means responsive engineering support, training, and lifetime back-up form a core part of the service it delivers for every production cell installed. My role is to ensure that all of these strengths are clearly communicated in the context of the world-leading machine tool brands we represent.”
