2 WFL stand at
EMO Hannover 2025 (Stand A50, Hall 13) will have the opportunity to learn about the company’s latest developments and wider industry trends. In addition to the newly developed M70 Millturn, they will get to see the company’s new automation solution — a storage tower on an M20 Millturn. Live machining demonstrations will also be taking place throughout the duration of the show.
The M70 Millturn is a high-performance machining centre designed for industry sectors that demand the highest standards of productivity and precision. The M70 can machine lengths up to 8,000mm and has a swing diameter of up to 850mm, and thanks to WFL’s modular system, it can be configured to individual customer requirements.
The robust M70 Millturn provides optimum stability and geometry for maximum precision and reliable machining thanks to high pull-in forces at the tool interface, as well as a wide range of additional options for highly productive deep-hole drilling processes and special technologies. It is ideal for heavy-duty applications, and can machine workpieces weighing up to 5,000kg.
Furthermore, the M70 Millturn features the familiar, reliable disc or chain magazine with up to 200 tool positions, tool weight of up to 35kg, and maximum tool length of 900mm. In addition to automatic tool change, set up can be carried out in parallel with machining. This allows the magazine to be loaded for different orders without any loss of time. Two magazine types are also available for heavy-duty special tools weighing up to 200kg per tool. A further standout feature of the M70 Millturn is the highly reliable main and milling spindle drives.
Storage tower solutionThe new WFL storage tower solution, which will be on display at
EMO working with a M20 Millturn, is ideal for providing long periods of unmanned machine operation as it can tidy away materials and finished components and keep the shopfloor clear. The vertically aligned storage system ensures the best use of space, and with a modular design, it can be flexibly adapted to meet different requirements.
Suitable for retrofitting, the storage tower is available in the basic height of 2.9m, but can be specified up to 5.9m, and offers individual equipment options. Alongside the software interface, an increasingly popular option is for the system to be combined with an AGV connection, depending on customer requirements.
The M20 Millturn will appeal to users who need a compact, powerful turning/boring/milling centre. With the addition of two further centre distance versions (2,000 or 3,000mm) the M20 Millturn is also available for longer shaft parts. The benefits can be seen in the outstanding stability and precision of the machine as well as in its extra powerful drives. Visitors to the stand at
EMO will be able to watch a technically challenging chuck component for the aviation industry being machined live on a workpiece 150mm in length and 300mm in diameter.
WFL will also be showcasing the latest versions of its comprehensive suite of software solutions at
EMO designed to maximise the efficiency, safety and productivity of its CNC Millturn machines. These software packages cover the entire manufacturing process, from programming and simulation to real-time production and monitoring and include CrashGuard, CrashGuard Studio, Millturn PRO and ScrewCAM.
