Hurco Europe has announced that its annual Open House will be held this year at its High Wycombe showroom on 2-3 December 2025 from 8.30am to 4.30pm each day. Lunch will be provided, as well as refreshments throughout the event. In addition to a showroom full of new Hurco CNC machine tools under power and cutting metal, there is the added attraction that many of Hurco’s primary suppliers will be in attendance.
This year, as many as 19 specialist companies will have their own small stand offering tooling, workholding, CAD/CAM, metrology, automation, mist extraction, rotary tables, bar feeds, angle heads, probing, and machine tool finance. This gives existing Hurco users and potential customers the opportunity to discuss ancillary equipment in a relaxed and informed environment.
Taking centre stage will be Hurco’s range of five-axis machining centres, and the show represents an ideal opportunity for anyone either considering adopting this multi-axis technology for the first time or looking to expand their existing capacity to discuss their requirements. There will be four different five-axis machining centres on show, allowing visitors to compare the benefits of each option. Included within the display is a conventional three-axis VMX60Ti fitted with a Kitagawa TT182 rotary-tilt table, providing a flexible, bolt-on, simultaneous five-axis configuration to consider.
Meanwhile, the cantilever-design VC500i and swivel-head VMX42SRTi will be side-by-side, showing two configuration options for producing larger five-axis components that can be held on tables 500 and 600mm in diameter respectively. There will additionally be five three-axis CNC machining centres under power making components. Sizes range from the compact, versatile VM10i to the powerful VMX60i with a 12,000rev/min, 40-taper spindle and X, Y, Z travels of 1,525 x 660 x 610mm.
ProCobot ProFeeder-XThe VMX30Ui trunnion five-axis machine, popular with general sub-contract engineers, will be shown automated by a Hurco ProCobot ProFeeder-X 10-drawer, heavy-duty system. This plug-and-play component loading and unloading automation system is perfect for producing small- to medium-batch quantities. A simple app appears on the Hurco WinMax control screen and only minimal information needs to be entered to set up a job — there is almost zero programming needed. Additionally, users have the reassurance that the ProCobot and the machine tool are supported by the same company.
The expanding range of Hurco CNC turning centres will be represented in the form of a TMX8MYSi driven-tool lathe with Y-axis and sub-spindle, alingside a a TM6i two-axis lathe. All Hurco CNC turning centres have the benefit of simple conversational programming on the Max 5 control, making one-offs and small batches quick and easy to complete.
As a special feature this year, two high-quality used machines — a VM10Ui and a TM8Mi — both 2022 models, will share the demonstration area normally reserved for new machines. Further used and refurbished machines will also be available to view via an access doorway into the main Hurco operations warehouse adjacent to the showroom. Subject to prior sale, there are currently eight previously owned machines, which are regularly updated on the Hurco website. Selected ex-demonstration models are also available at a discounted price.
