Omega Control Solutions becomes Siemens Solution PartnerManufacturers operating in complex and highly regulated sectors will soon be able to design, test and optimise automation systems in a fully virtual environment before any physical build takes place, following a new partnership agreement between Omega Control Solutions and Siemens. The collaboration gives Omega access to Siemens’ digital twin and advanced automation technologies, supporting faster commissioning, reduced downtime and lower operational risk for users in industries such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and hydrogen.

The appointment builds on Omega’s 19-year track record in control system engineering, and strengthens its capability to deploy Siemens systems at scale, backed by Siemens-certified expertise. With closer integration to the Siemens portfolio, Omega will be able to transform its approach to automation system development. The use of Siemens’ ‘digital twin’ technology will allow customers to virtually commission systems, cut design iterations and ensure machines are optimised before they leave Omega’s manufacturing facility. For OEMs, this is expected to reduce time to market, limit project risk and provide assurance that control solutions will operate as intended from day one.

Olly Gibbs, sales account manager at Siemens, said: “Omega’s strength lies not just in its technical capability, but in its deep understanding of the markets it serves and the complex challenges faced by customers. The company’s ability to navigate demanding environments in fast-evolving sectors like hydrogen makes Omega a valuable addition to our Solution Partner network. We are excited to work alongside a team that shares our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and delivering real impact for industry.”

Omega has recently expanded its production capability with significant investment in facilities, equipment and staff, positioning the company for further growth across its core sectors. Chris Starling, systems manager at Omega Control Solutions, said: “Becoming a Siemens Solution Partner is a significant step forward for Omega. Siemens’ scale, technology portfolio and market insight complement our own capabilities and ambition. Together, we are better positioned than ever to help customers navigate increasingly complex automation challenges with confidence and innovation. W

He continued: “We are particularly excited about expanding our work in emerging sectors like the hydrogen industry and other ATEX applications, where our expertise in complex control systems aligns perfectly with future industry demands.”

Further underlining its commitment to skills development, Omega has opened a new purpose-built apprentice training facility focused on Siemens technologies, aimed at developing the next generation of automation engineers. While the initial Solution Partner accreditation covers Drives and Motion Control, Omega says it intends to broaden its Siemens certifications as the business continues to grow.
