ASME appoints new chief revenue officerThe American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), globally recognised and trusted source of standards used around the world, has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Meredith Jones to the newly created position of chief revenue officer (CRO).

She brings more than two decades of experience driving multi-billion-dollar growth at leading technology companies and will lead revenue generation and growth through innovative go-to-market strategies for ASME’s products and services. She will work closely with the executive team to maintain the society’s financial sustainability while keeping its member-focused mission at the forefront.

Tom Costabile, ASME executive director and CEO, said: “Meredith’s proven expertise in building high-performing teams, expanding into new markets, and collaborating across sales, marketing, product design, and enablement will be instrumental as ASME accelerates its next phase of global growth. Her role is vital in ensuring ASME continues to support early career engineers, academics, and industry leaders alike in addressing the workforce gap with skills development, codes and standards, and research activities that support innovation in engineering.”

Meredith Jones has held senior leadership roles in technology, consulting, and financial services. Most recently, she served as chief strategy officer at Strelmark in Washington DC, where she developed corporate vision and revenue strategies, secured high-value partnerships, and guided technology investments to streamline operations. Prior to that, she led go-to-market strategy for Nutanix in San Jose, California, driving transformational deals and accelerating customer retention and market expansion. She also served as CRO for a Seattle-based stealth start-up, where she built and led a team of 65 people and helped raise initial capital.

Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Amazon Web Services, where she contributed to annual revenue growth of up to $3 billion and secured some of the company’s largest enterprise deals. At Deloitte Consulting, she advised on multi-billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions and technology transformations.

Meredith Jones is currently working towards a PhD in economics and holds a BSC in finance and information technology from George Mason University. A frequent speaker at technology and finance conferences, she co-founded the Valor First Foundation in 2022, a non-profit organisation that supports military veterans, and is still on the board of directors.
