EMO, the world’s leading trade fair for production technology, will continue to be held in Hannover following a decision by the
VDW executive board at its autumn meeting.
EMO general commissioner Carl Martin Welcker said: “We are delighted to have arrived at a decision which represents a viable solution for the future. We were convinced by the commitment of the Lower Saxon policymakers to develop the structural and technical infrastructure of the exhibition centre on an ongoing basis over the coming years.
“This will enable the site to meet all modern-day requirements. It will also allow us to continue developing the
EMO concept in our long-standing and proven partnership with
Deutsche Messe and thus offer the best possible prospects for exhibitors and visitors.”
In consultation with the European association CECIMO, owner of the
EMO brand, and with the Italian sister association Ucimu, organiser of
EMO in Milan, the VDW has agreed the locations of the
EMO cycle until 2031. The trade fair will take place in Milan in 2027, Hannover in 2029 and Milan again in 2031. Mr Welcker concluded: “After that, we will return to the tried and tested cycle.”
