Industry experts to share insights at Automotive World 2026RX Japan will host Automotive World 2026 from 21-23 January at Tokyo Big Sight international convention venue, bringing together global automotive leaders and 1,850 exhibitors for three days of innovation, networking, and insights into the future of mobility. The event will feature a comprehensive conference programme tackling key themes, including intelligence-driven innovation, sustainability, and next-generation automotive solutions.

A major highlight will be the expanded seminar programme, which includes over 200 sessions. Automotive World will host several highly anticipated keynotes addressing the industry’s most pressing issues, examining how intelligence, electrification, and sustainability are reshaping mobility while emphasising human-centric innovation and its societal impact.

Among the sessions, Hirofumi Inoue of Toyota Motor Corporation and Toshihiro Akiwa of Honda Motor Co will speak on 21 January about ‘Driving Innovation in a Disruptive Age: Intelligent Vehicle Technologies and Environmental Shifts’. On 22 January, Katsuhiro Kato of Suzuki Motor Corporation will present ‘Suzuki Technology Strategy — Standing by People and the Earth’. The following day, a panel featuring Noriaki Fukuyasu of The Linux Foundation Japan, Hisao Munakata of Renesas Electronics, Masashige Mizuyama of Panasonic Automotive Systems, and Kazuo Tsubouchi of Honda Motor Co, will explore ‘What is the right perspective of the software-defined era’.

Additional sessions will delve into AI-driven mobility services, carbon-neutral strategies, and circular manufacturing, with contributions from experts at Robert Bosch GmbH, DENSO Corporation, and Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC.

Real-time AI translation system

To enhance accessibility for international visitors, RX Japan will introduce a real-time AI translation system across the programme. This innovation will allow overseas visitors to fully engage in seminars and navigate technical discussions without language barriers, making their experience smoother and more productive.

Beyond the conference programme, Automotive World will host Pwn2Own Automotive 2026, a global hacking competition organised by the Zero Day Initiative (ZDI), operated by Trend Micro. Top security researchers will compete in live hacking challenges covering Tesla vehicles, in-vehicle infotainment systems, the Open Charge Alliance, automotive operating systems, and more. The event will also feature an EV Disassembly Showcase from US and Chinese OEMs, where selected EV models will be dismantled and displayed, giving visitors an inside look at vehicle structures and design approaches from leading manufacturers.

Automotive World will run alongside NEPCON Japan’s 40th edition, Factory Innovation Week, and Smart Logistics Expo. Together, these four shows will occupy the entire Tokyo Big Sight — Japan’s largest exhibition venue — creating a unique environment where visitors can explore technologies that connect automotive, electronics, manufacturing, and logistics sectors, meet suppliers, and discover innovations across industries.
