Digital Catapult membership programme establishedDigital Catapult, the deep tech innovation organisation, has welcomed the first members to its newly established membership programme which will accelerate the practical application of deep tech in industry and equip the UK to be future ready. Launched in November 2025, Camera Intelligence and Immersely are the first two start-ups to join the programme, with Thales UK joining as a corporate member and the Design Education Trust as a community member.

The membership programme has been established to meet demand from industry for more opportunities to engage with Digital Catapult’s network and leverage capabilities that will enable deep tech companies to scale. It supports Digital Catapult’s work to bridge the gap between industry, academia and the Government, with four membership options available to reflect the diversity of the UK’s deep tech sector, including corporate, start-up and scale-up, associate and community.

Membership packages are tailored to the needs of the members, with benefits including opportunities to demonstrate solutions at showcase events, exclusive networking events, access to Digital Catapult’s cutting-edge facilities, marketing and communications support as well as innovation consultancy. Packages range in price from £1-5,000, with optional add-ons for members including sponsorship opportunities, access to Digital Catapult’s labs, additional use of Digital Catapult’s auditorium and additional desk space.

Both Camera Intelligence and Immersely are alumni of Digital Catapult’s innovation and accelerator programmes, where each received support to develop and commercialise their solutions, and subsequently received investment from Digital Catapult in the form of a convertible loan note (CLN). The former is currently participating in Digital Catapult’s Startup-in-Residence scheme that sees a startup use Digital Catapult’s office as a base, benefitting from access to meeting rooms, contact with deep tech experts and a central location in the heart of London.

Purpose-driven partnerships

Sivaprakash Shanmugam, director of product at Digital Catapult, said: “For over a decade, Digital Catapult has fostered meaningful collaboration and purpose-driven partnerships across the UK’s deep tech landscape. Our membership programme builds on this legacy, providing a dedicated initiative to convene industry leaders and cutting-edge innovators from across the country to accelerate ideas into real-world impact. Through the programme, we will leverage our national network to support our members to connect, collaborated and lead change at scale, and I am delighted to welcome our inaugural members.”

Goodness Akazulu, co-founder and CEO of Immersely, said: “Joining Digital Catapult’s membership programme means we continue to benefit from unrivalled support, including innovation and investment consultancy, alongside access to a base in central London. As we pursue our ambitious plans to scale Immersely, access to Digital Catapult’s extensive network and cutting-edge facilities will be critical, enabling us to compete and collaborate with industry leaders and other pioneers in the sector. I am excited to continue building on our relationship as we enter this next phase of growth.”

Alec Robertson, a trustee at the Design Education Trust, concluded: “We are delighted to be joining Digital Catapult’s Community Membership programme and to strengthen our engagement with its network. Through this membership, we will support postgraduate students from the RCA and Imperial College, London in exhibiting their award-winning cyber-physical kinetic design projects at Digital Catapult’s headquarters in Euston, providing a valuable professional platform and advancing our commitment to nurturing emerging talent.”

He concluded: “We also look forward to building connections across the community that may generate longer-term benefits for the charity. In the coming months, we plan to host award project finale presentations within the space and are exploring a larger symposium event later in the year.”
