DyeMansion, based in Germany and a global provider of post-processing solutions for 3-D printed polymer parts, has launched a new compact, industrial-grade Powershot system designed to bring the company’s proven PolyShot cleaning and surfacing technology to a broader range of users.
The new Powershot will sit alongside the DyeMansion VX1 ‘vapour smoothing system’ and complement small-format powder bed 3-D printers, as well as facilities that have industrial-scale printers but do not yet have the need for large-scale or highly automated cleaning and surfacing that the existing DyeMansion Powershot X or Powershot DUAL Performance offer.
Felix Ewald, DyeMansion’s CEO and co-founder, said: “Industrial-grade post-processing is no longer reserved for large-format, high-volume operations. With this new Powershot, we are making the ‘DyeMansion Print-to-Product’ workflow available to a whole new segment of the market — without compromising on the quality and reliability our customers have come to expect.
“The new compact Powershot brings DyeMansion’s technology to service bureaux, corporate innovation teams, and OEMs operating at smaller volumes. The system is being developed in close alignment with the needs of this market segment, integrating seamlessly with the VX1 and compatible small-format 3-D printers as part of the broader DyeMansion Print-to-Product workflow.”
Marc Garcia, product manager at HP, concluded: “This announcement coincides with the launch of HP’s new compact Multi Jet Fusion 3-D printing solution. It is really exciting to see DyeMansion bringing industrial-grade technology into a more accessible format, just as we are doing with the HP Multi Jet Fusion 1200.”
