MACH Machine Tools, will be showcasing a range of its MACH-branded machine tool technologies on its stand at this year’s IMTS show in Chicago.
The UK company – which in 2025 established MACH Machine Tools USA its new subsidiary and stocking facility in Joliet, Illinois, to help manage and coordinate its US business activities – has identified IMTS 2026 as being the next step in it raising its profile and achieving real, sustainable growth in the US.
However, whilst MACH Machine Tools will be exhibiting at this year’s IMTS Show for the first time, the company is no stranger to attending and exhibiting at US-based events and shows.
In Autumn 2025 the company, as part of a carefully planned marketing strategy, booked a stand at the WESTEC Show in Anaheim, California where it was impressed by the interest and positive reaction from event visitors.
MACH Machine Tools’ Group Managing Director: David Andrew said: “WESTEC was a great event and really helped put us on the map. We used the event to not only promote our best-selling MACH VS-1 SP (Super Precision) manual turret-type milling machine to visitors, but to also meet, engage and connect with US-based machine tool distributors that could help us develop a country-wide sales and support network moving forwards.
“Our attendance was successful and a steady stream of visitors made their way onto our stand and, considering this was our first foray into the US market, we not only picked up a number of orders but were also able to sign up a distributor too.”
The company intends to do something similar at IMTS 2026 but, on this bigger platform, will be showcasing three of its most popular and best-selling machine models on its stand and, with an eye on signing up additional US, Canadian and Mexican distributors, will have more sales and applications staff on hand too.
As well as its VS-1 (Classic) and VS-1 SP manual milling machines, the company will also be exhibiting a new, MACH MDM AR-700 bed mill equipped with a (BT40) 5,000rpm spindle, roller linear guideways, a large worktable and the advanced and proven DynaPath control on its stand.
The DynaPath control is a real ‘game-changer’ and is powerful, sophisticated, flexible and easy to use. Furthermore, the control not only provides customers with free, industry-leading and Wi-Fi-enabled ‘Remote Assist’ that gives them access to immediate, 24/7 (remote) applications and service support, but also with free software updates for the life of the machine.
Mr Andrew continued: “MACH machines are accurate and reliable, represent real value and, with their MACH US-branded livery and decals, look the part.
“These three machines, like all MACH CNC and manual machines destined for the US, are assembled in the UK and undergo a thorough PDI at our facility in Bristol, England, prior to dispatch.”
Mr Andrew says that since his company tested the water in the US market last year its business has been thriving.
He commented: “As well as fielding hundreds of enquiries from component manufacturers of all sizes, we’ve also been blown away by the interest shown in our technologies from US educational organisations and institutions too.”
This perhaps should not be that surprising considering that MACH Machine Tools’ ranges of CNC and manual machines are used extensively, and are increasingly being specified, by a growing number of UK and Irish universities, higher and further education colleges, and apprenticeship training schools.
“There’s definitely a big market in the US for MACH machine tools, and our attendance at IMTS 2026 will help us make serious inroads into it”, concluded Mr Andrew.
