The awards will celebrate achievements across engineering, manufacturing and product development, with the winners being announced during CWIEME Berlin on April 29, 2027. Among the prizes on offer is a six-month internship with Hitachi Energy, providing the winner with valuable industry experience.

The 2027 programme will recognise excellence across five categories: CWIEME Hall of Fame, Future Engineers, Sustainability & Leadership, Product of the Year and Engineer of the Year. Entries are open now until February 5, 2027.

Product of the Year celebrates products that combine innovation, technical excellence and proven real-world performance. This award recognises achievements across the product development journey, from research and design to testing and application, including the collaboration and multidisciplinary expertise behind successful innovations.

Finally, Engineer of the Year recognises engineers, technical specialists, researchers and project leaders whose achievements, innovative thinking and problem-solving have delivered meaningful results.
