Coupe Foundry, Preston, has been bought out of administration, saving 80 jobs.
The castings manufacturer went into administration in late January and has now been acquired by a new company known as Coupe Castings Ltd, which is part-owned by a former competitor — Bolton-based Shakespeare Foundry — and a former customer — Eaves Machining Ltd.
The Preston business supplies cast iron, ductile iron, alloyed irons and steel castings to a wide variety of customers throughout Europe.
