A measured success for Faro#MACH2014 Faro Technologies UK Ltd, Coventry (www.faro.com), says MACH 2014 as an overwhelming success for the company, the stand being a hive of activity throughout the week and Faro staff being kept busy demonstrating the company’s metrology products.

These included a portable CMM — the Faro Gage — that is easy to use, accurate and designed for use on smaller parts. In addition, the Faro Edge ScanArm ES was regularly put through its paces.

This features enhanced scanning technology, while a combination of multiple hardware and software improvements has improved the unit’s ability to scan challenging surfaces.

Also in great demand were demonstrations of the latest Faro Edge, which features the lightest and smallest Laser Line Probe and touch-screen computer for basic measurements. Andrew Tagg, Faro regional manager, said: “The timing of MACH 2014 could not have been better, with so many advanced products to show.

The event was a phenomenal success; at times we had potential customers literally queuing up for demonstrations. The number of leads generated at this exhibition was way up on the previous one.

In addition, we have already received orders for products demonstrated at the show, and our sales engineers will now be kept extremely busy for the foreseeable future performing in-house demonstrations.”
