Haas Automation (
www.haascnc.com) has opened its 36th Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) showroom in Europe and its 79th Haas Technical Education Centre (HTEC). The combined facility is located at CKPiU — a public education institute in Zabrze, in the south of Poland.The guest of honour at the opening ceremony was Haas Automation founder and president Gene Haas (pictured, right).
Also present was ex-Prime Minister of Poland Jerzy Buzek, who said: “This wonderful training facility will help to deliver valuable practical experience. It will completely change the situation of our young people, as they will more easily find work and will not have to leave Poland to begin their careers, as has so often been the case.”
Industrial companies and manufacturers in the region can take advantage of the new premises, consult experienced staff and view the latest Haas CNC machine tools.
The exclusive Haas distributor in Poland, Abplanalp Consulting, provided the Haas CNC machines, the tooling and the CAM software for the new facility. In turn, CKPiU renovated the showroom and training space to create a pleasant environment suitable for both CNC trainees and prospective customers.
CKPiU is the 13th HTEC in Poland. Four more are planned this year — at Stargard, Solcu Kujawski, Krosno and Bialystok.
